The 2027 John Sands Classic will take place January 16–17, 2027, in Saskatoon, hosted by Saskatoon Lions Speed Skating Club (SLSSC).

This annual competition provides skaters with an opportunity to race, develop, and prepare for the second half of the season. For Saskatchewan youth skaters, the John Sands Classic will also serve as a final opportunity to achieve qualifying times for the Canada Youth Long Track (CYLT) Championships.
